Are you experiencing issues with Keynote acting up and displaying various glitches? If so, you're not alone. Many users have reported encountering problems with slide transitions, flashframes of previous slides, and other annoying issues. Fortunately, a helpful user by the name of GARY SCOTLAND has shared a solution that can help alleviate these problems.

To begin, open Keynote and shut it down completely. Count to 10 before restarting the app while holding down the Shift key until you see the Apple logo appear. This slower start is due to the program opening in Safe Mode, which performs some background work to prepare your system for a smoother experience.

Next, delete the Keynote App using an uninstaller program. In this case, I used 'App Cleaner' located on my Launchpad taskbar. This will completely remove the app from your system, allowing you to reinstall it or try alternative solutions.

GARY SCOTLAND's post also suggested checking the 'Apply motion blur to animations' option in Keynote Preferences. To do this, go into Keynote Preferences and toggle this setting on. This may help resolve some of the issues users are experiencing with slide transitions.

I decided to repeat the process and experimented further by creating a slideshow using all the available slide transition animations. I also recorded the slideshow using QuickTime and exported it to 720p. The slides contained images and text ungrouped, which is how they would typically be arranged in a real presentation.

To my surprise, I noticed that only 5 of the transitions showed the glitch (flashframe of previous slide) compared to 7 before applying the motion blur setting. This suggests that the issue may be related to keyframing in Keynote or QuickTime rather than a general problem with the software itself.
